Clinical Findings
VSS-relevant EEG biomarker candidates.
Run analysis to see findings.
Wavelet Scalogram (Morlet CWT)
Power over time — linear 0–64 Hz Y axis, COI shading, frequency ridge. Click to annotate.
Frequency Band Power
Mean spectral power per EEG band (log₁₀ scale). Elevated gamma is a VSS biomarker candidate.
Gabor TF Filtering — Band Extraction
STFT with Gaussian window isolates a frequency band and reconstructs it as a clean time-domain signal (75% overlap, overlap-add synthesis).
Reconstructed band waveform — grey: original · colour: extracted band
Wavelet Coherence
Time-frequency coherence R²(f,t) between two channels — parula 0→1, white arrows show phase lag.
Channel 1 is set by the selector above. Run wavelet analysis first.
Persistence Spectrum
2D histogram of (frequency, power dB) across all Gabor STFT frames. Hot colormap: black → rare, white → always present. Auto-updates when a band is extracted.
Cohort Band Power Norms
Accumulates band power distributions across every patient analyzed this session. Box = IQR, line = median. Helps identify whether the current patient is an outlier in any band.
Multi-Patient Scalogram Comparison
Side-by-side wavelet scalograms for up to 4 patients (synthetic EEGs keyed to snow intensity). Useful for visualising severity-related frequency shifts.
Cross-Spectrogram — Common VS Signal Finder
|STFT_A × conj(STFT_B)| shows which frequencies are shared between two patients' EEGs. Bright bands = candidate common oscillatory sources. Phase arrows show inter-patient timing lag.
